I hate to post this, but the attendance at the game saturday may have quite a bit to do with the decision whether or not to keep Snyder.  If it looks like he still has quite a bit of support he may stay.  If it looks like the fans have given up that will say a lot too.
 Remember Kopp really wants to build up student enrollment.  It is very hard to do that when your signature sport sucks. 
  He should also keep in mind that Snyder will be severely hamstrung recruiting this year because everyone knows this will be his last year.  Kids won't want to sign with a coach who will be gone 5 months after they arrive on campus.

Anyway you slice it, things don't look good for crowd numbers. 

Actually, I don't understand why "crowd support for the final game" or "if marshall can win to pull to 5-7" have any bearing whatsoever on the decision.  Isn't the four-year body of work enough?

We have a game to play against Tulsa and I hope we win.  Coach Snyder will be back next year and I hope we improve.  Everybody really needs to get a life and quit acting like they know what will happen with our current coach.  I hope he sticks around and we start winning championships.  Otherwise, I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!  Go Herd!  Beat Tulsa!  I'll be there.

I have a question for Kopp........why on earth did you give MS an Extension? What justification was there for such a decision and who helped you make it? I feel Kopp needs to be asked some very hard questions! The whole liberalization of Marshall is almost complete and the last thing left is to dig up the graves of the 1970 players. What I dont get is when you look towards next year....without a QB and without Passmore...and if Slate leaves for the NFL.....or even if he doesnt....

We are going to suck next year....its a clear projection....

So why bring him back one more year when its almost for certain that we will end up with 5 losing seasons...barring a miracle....

The need to think about that and factor that in to the decision...

 The way I see it is we show up to support the HERD not the coach I will be there to support my team as I did back in the 70`s when there were only a 1000 people there. Me being in the stands does not mean I support Snyder BY GOD !!!!
