I am sorry for sounding like a pompous intellectual.   

My knowledge of Marshall goes beyond student status.   I spent three years as a full-time faculty member at Marshall.   Also, I have taught courses at an even larger academic institution.   

FYI:  The BOG is NOT a secret society.  BOG's minutes are on the school's Web site.

If you are really that nosy (I am not!), then you can make a simple call to Dr. Kopp's office and ask when the BOG last convened.    I am sure his secretary can provide that info.

NEWS FLASH!!! Snyder is 100% staying...

Field Pass.. personally i dont care enough to post it. Whether he stays or goes does not bother me as much as it bothers others. He will get another season. I will be cheering for him to do well. I will do the same for the next coach we decide to hire if Snyder doesnt work out after next season.

I do care that people are being mislead to believing he is fired when he is not going to be. This is why I have responded to this bogus post.

By the way.. This truly has become an exciting topic. I luv it.  ;D

well at this point multiple sources state that the big supporters are putting something in works....

its kind of arrogant to assume that the decision has been made by some person in advance....

maybe you or your source should tell Marshall Reynolds that the decision has already been made so he doesnt waste his whole day today working on it....   :D :D :D

field pass says the BOG were meeting somewhere around charleston to discuss things, well that was false. all BOG meetings have to be advertised/published. then he says, no it was a big green meeting.

then he talks about how pruett and marcum do not get along, even though they talk weekly and after his "retirement" marcum did everything in his power to get pruett and the parties against him to iron things out to keep pruett as our coach.

also, states that the big green supplements the coaches salary.. his contract is online, you can see it. the only thing the big green does is guarantee any money should he be fired, they don't supplement his salary. isp supplements his salary.

I guess only time will tell, either next week everyone will be pissed that we still have Coach Snyder, or many will be happy that he is gone.

Anyway, I tend to agree.  He'll be here.  I don't doubt there are some big money rumblings, but I think in the end he'll be here.  I also think he'll win next year, at least a little like 6-6 - 7-5 (like we should have been this year if not better)

I hope I'm wrong, but I bet he stays and does enough to be marginally successful in 09 and hang on 3-4 years.

Snyder seems like to me, he's the kind of coach that can win with vastly superior talent which we may have in 2010 and 11 etc.   He just doesn't seem to have a feel for anything from when or when not to stick with a qb or kicker, to when to call timeout or how to inspire a team.

When he's here, I'll support the team and him.  I'll not rail on him on message boards etc.  I'll be half heartedly in his camp.  I'll never forgive him for underachieving in 05, 06 and 08 until he wins 2 liberty bowls, 2 wvu games OR gets in a BCS game.  That's the only way to make it up to me.

The only way he is going to win in '10 Bison is he must bring in another qb.  He is not going to win with our current QB or any that is already in the program.  I think Cann is a nice young man that works hard, but I haven't seen anything, and I am not a coach, that tells me he will ever get it done on this level.

I have read these posts with great interest.  Never have I seen a topic split our fan base like this one.  Personally I would like to see Coach Snyder go because I don't think he can win here with his philosophy.  In any event regardless of who the coach might be I will be cheering for the herd.  GO HERD.
