Slate IS a future WR, barring him adding about 30+ lbs. That's what his size/ speed define him as. He's a mismatch at TE in the college game, and not overly fast/quick at his natural position, which if history serves, and I believe it will, he'll have a shot at being a slot/3rd WR at the next level. He should have been that here. Think McCafferey for the Broncos. Lots of 220 lbs. guys with good, not great speed have succeeded in the NFL, they're in essence a TE, not unlike Dallas Clark of the Indy Colts: they can block a bit, and have good hands and can go over the middle. Glad as hell he's here, just wish he'd have been utilized more towards imho his natural position.
