That is certainly the case with Greg White and perhaps Snyder but it took too long to get Jirsa out and he had no ties or was a former player. It seems all of our decisions are prolonged and the Cam's attendance suffered as I think will the Joan's next year. Football's attendance will hurt much worse though. There couldn't have been 15,000 seats filled there tonight.

You are more than welcome...and I am sorry to ruin your night. It all comes down to this:

We have the money to replace MS
We have the commitment to bring in another coach
We do not have an overwhelming vote apparently to change coaches
We do not have an AD or President that will pull the plug without being threatened by one thing or another

That is what it all boils down to ladies and gentleman....IF the change happens, you can buy alot of paper and printing products, eat alot of Hot Dogs, and go sue some people over nothing.

Not really....Kopp will basically say that the BOG made the decision and that they promised MS 5 years and they will move forward. A promise of "a bowl game or he is fired for next season" will leak out just to quiet the masses.....

I expect a statement of "We believe in coach snyder and look forward to success in 2009" to come from Kopp. Its a shame that at MU you have to boycott and stop supporting certain sports for a decision to be made. That is the problem with hiring former players, and people with ties to the university. When it comes to firing them, it prolongs the decision in my opinion.

I hope I am wrong....a new coach is the shot in the arm that we need. But my head tells me that this will be another paper decision and the fans of MU will take another slap in the face. All we can do is move funds to other sports as we did Jirsa.

i dont care what they promised Snyder!!!!  Didnt they promise Marshall ANYTHING when they took their job on the board????  AN OATH? OR ANYTHING??  They should have pledge their loyalty to Marshall FIRST! And they know that he WONT WIN NEXT YEAR!  This promise is at MArshalls expense!  That just makes me hate SNyder more.  They are going to wreck this ship to keep a promise to a guy who isnt from WV who chose Marshall as his last choice on the planet....he just happen to run out of options....

I believe the WVU fans are in the same mode as the Marshall fans. They want another coach and their ticket sales will go down. I don't think they will buy as many tickets to our game as what they did before.

As far as us getting better as a team next year, don't forget the other teams in C-USA are ALSO going to be a LOT better next year.

BOG's: Have met...no decision was made until late this week. As I have said before, I do not know the decision either way but one of the Big Donors JMJ, was told to get his money ready. Take it from there....
Money: It is there to buyout whatever we need...one gentleman would pay the buyout, new salary and all to get one Jim Donnan or Phillip Fulmer to coach here.

That is what I know...as specific as I can be. I am not on here trying to glorify myself, I just enjoy discussion with the backbone of MU, in which is all of us. Snyder might be fired, might resign, might be back...I have my opinion but that and $1 will buy you a can of Coke.

If Kopp gets his way and keeps Snyder I am going to blow a gasket.  As I have said earlier, I wil not renew season tickets.  As a matter of fact I am going to go and change my address at MU right before they send out renewals....and change it to President Kopps address.  He can stick my renewal up his ass.

I just read all of these posts...thank goodness I didn't read these as they were being posted.  At least I went from hopeful to excited to disappointment over an hour or so instead of days.  LOL  Ugh, another year of Snyder ball makes me want to not renew my season tickets for the first time in 13 years.    :'(

I mean, come on, while we are sitting at home in the middle of bowl season for the 4th year and a row and they are going to make a splash announcement that he is being retained for a 5th guaranteed losing season???  That will be a half decade without being bowl eligible...

I cant see it happening...he is gone...the bigger donors want him gone....Gibson and Ferrell and Kopp would pretty much have to tell ALL the BIG TIME donors to kiss off.  I mean they have already spoken to other coaching candidates and everything....

Yes, I did, and I was posting information I received over 3 weeks ago. I believe Chez had practically the same information as I had; I just did not elaborate. I as well believe fieldpass truly had good sources. Now what ends up happening is evidently still up in the air, but I will say this: As far as we herdfans/nation posters; there will be no winners. If murox and his group is right we will have wounds in our herdfanbase and will experience a significant loss in ticket sales next year. If fieldpass and his group is correct it will only deepen wounds opened within our MU community. This is not good. It is time for all herdfans to come together and support Marshall University regardless of what happens.

I do know that I heard many people yesterday say that they didn't know if they would be back next year. A lot are people that have been there every step of the way since the Fairfield days. I know some people that were tailgating, but didn't go into the game. They said that they are protesting by not going in. I don't agree with that strategy, but I can't blame them. Yes apathy is definitely here.
