  • Maybe for AD. I doubt he would take the BG position for the money they pay.

You have people on here complaining about everything not renewing tickets and you think they are going to donate.  They want a top notch program but dont give any support.  Blows my mind.  Its 25.00 a year to join the BG come on folks get your tickets support our university.  I am not a Snyder supporter but I am a Marshall supporter I have renewed my tickets and even bought 2 extra.  They need our support and our $$$$$$

  • Ignore the double commitment but can we get folks to pony up more? Get enough calls pledging for Dshoe or another quality can only help our cause.

  • A move such as getting DShoe, Pruett, Donnan or any other pro-active person would easily be enough motivation for me to double my donation and get excited about everything in the athletic department.  It would even be easy to get behind Snyder because if he doesn't perform he would be gone with a competent athletic director.

  • doubling may be a little tough for some. A few years ago, Coach Pruett sia dhe askes his players to give 110%. He then said he would like the BG members to give 110% every year. That is exactly what I have done. I raise my contribution by a minimum of 10% every year.

It is so easy. If you can give $10 per month or more, it can come right of your checking account. You don't miss it. To add another 10% to that is hardly noticable as well. If you can $10 per month, the next year you can probably give $11 and so on.

  • I cut my donation from $2,500 to $500 this year.  If they hire DShoe, or another AD that gets me excited about the future, I will kick my other $2,000 back in to the BG.

I'm sure the kids that play basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc appreciate your lack of support for them. Your cut do NOTHING to hurt any of the coaches or staff, only the players.
    Nothing like truly bleeding green.
Well, as I said above, I upped my by 10%. That won't make up your total $2000 cut, but it helps. I have a couple other friends that do the same thing, so we almost covered for you.

  • For those who are donating the first time to the Big Green, contact your local Big Green Rep and let them know.  The Big Green Reps have a goal this year to bring in 300 new members.

This is what is going to help us.  We need new people.  We need those Marshall alums that are out their complaining about how things are - but have never given a dime - to step up and join the BG and be part of the solution.

I will be excited if Dan is the AD but I truly believe most (with obvious exceptions) of the people donating are giving what they can right now.  It has been most of the same people that have carried the load for a long time.

  • ...I've only chatted with Dan a couple of times, but was impressed with his vision for Marshall Athletics...the BOG may actually choose him, but I dont see Kopp doing it.....still if he is chosen he would probably revolutionize Marshall sports for decades to come...he is a true son of Marshall too.

Hey, I have an idea...Why don't you go f''k yourself.  Between donations, tickets, and gifts I've spent over $15,000 on Marshall in the last four years.  I said at the end of last year that if Snyder was retained after finishing 1-7 I was going to cut my support until the school could show they care as much about the athletic program as I do.

For people that think the best idea is to keep pumping their hard earned money into a losing effort thereby emboldening those in charge into believing we will buy whatever they sell, that's their right.  For fans that believe they have to make a statement in order to get the attention of the administration, that's their right.

Oh, and while you are f''king yourself, shove your "bleed green" comment up your azz, super fan.

And your $2000 wasn't "made up for" by anyone else either. No matter how you look at it, MU is less $2000 in their pockets. I'm with ya Banker, some of this stupid stuff being done by MU might stop sooner if they were informed we won't buy their swill.

I checked it out. It is truely a lame board.  The threads are pathetic as are the posters.  Was HerdNation not good enough for them...?  I Guess it started to reflect reality and the "False Positive" crowd still could deal with it and wanted to continue to live in their fantasy world.   :D
