  • The Russian newspaper, Pravda (English Edition), lamenting America's descent into Marxism...

American capitalism gone without a whimper

    27.04.2009

    Source: Pravda.Ru

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blindeth the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America .

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America 's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the sher volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

  • The open hatred between the two parties is the main problem with this country. I have never seen hate like is shown today.

  • Interesting read but I don't think an American democratic republic will allow that to happen. The ebb and flow from right to left and vise verse eventually pull central. However, is does paint a sad picture of our course and direction and does show their is a need and concern.

Although the article above is understandable, some others are just bizarre. The Russians have been known to be a bit ostentatious. Look at this one Russian Professors idea a decade ago of how the United States will be split into different countries after another civil war. The Russian state media love this kind of propaganda. I helps them take their mind of their own problems.

I don't know how that reflects anything stated in a Russian newspaper.  Could you please expound?

For the record, I don't blame Dems for being socialists any more than I blame Reps for caving to it.

Matrix - I agree that we do a pretty good job as a people to keep both parties as watchdogs over the other.  However, there is one thing that can't or at least hasn't been reversed in the past 50-60 years - entitlements.  Social programs, once implemented, are almost impossible to take away.  Every 30 years or so (FDR, Kennedy/Johson, Obama) the US voters swing to the liberal side.  NONE of the programs implemented in those eras have been revoked, regardless of how much a failure they have become.  That weed continues to grow until one day it will consume our government.

Democracy yeilds to socialism.  Socialism yeilds to communism.  Communism yeilds to Marxism.  At the top are the puppetmasters that all aspire to be dictators.  No amount of conservatism can reverse Socialism.  Even in the Reagan years, while big government suffered, the social programs carried on full steam ahead.  The abject failures of Social Security, HUD, medicare and medicaid carry on at a frenzied pace, ignoring the fat and fraud in lieu of keeping the have-nots and liberals at bay.  What started off as less than 5% of the country needing/receiving entitlements, now has morphed to over 40% of the country sucking off the goverment teat.  The amazing stat of them all is that there are millions on social programs in this country that are not even citizens.

While a Russian view from Pravda may not be our first choice for news, he is a voice of experience.  Stalin had to kill 42 million Russians to take away their freedoms.  America may if fact do it "without a whimper".

Folks that ignore the freedom lost in social programs and only present the good intentions make me wonder if they don't have some inside track to the trillions of private taxpayer dollars absorbed in the name of political correctness.

  • Good post Blade, as always. I see what you mean about a growing weed.
Is that statistic for real, over 40% of the US populations suckling the government teat? I sure hope not.
Would you consider how the Government is handling GM to be a social program?
The only Social Program I can think of that this administration has been talking about implementing was Health Care, I may have missed something I'm sure.
The Russian point of view by the Author speaks volumes about his experience with socialism/communism/marxism, but I cant help but wonder what experience does he have with capitalism? Either way, the point and purpose does make you think.

As of 2006, the numbers were over 40% of folks that received some sort of government entitlement (not totally dependent mind you).  I'm wary to look up what it is today, if the data is even available.

I would consider anything goverment-controled that isn't infrastructure or defense as de-capitalization.  Those are the only two things the goverment was allowed to control under the constitution.  And it was against the law for the government to take more that 10% from taxpayers to manage that.

Though socialist act, it is somewhat different from a social program, which is an entitlement given by the government with no apparent strings.

The problem is that if you give the government an inch, they'll take a mile.  They are now going to dip into corporate America and determine who gets hired/fired and what their salary is going to be.  A politician.  Running a multi=billion dollar fortune 100 company.  See anything wrong with that?  No garrantee if those politicians are qualified, but they do have a seemingly infinite supply of wealth at their disposal in taxpayer dollars.

The main problem is that it doesn't stop with GM.  The bill will state that the government can intercede in any business that has accepted government aid.  That includes tax incentives, which basically allows the government oversight on nearly ALL US owned businesses.  If that passes (I don't see how it can), look for the majority of the fortune 500 companies to find another country to incorporate their companies.

Wow!  The only thing?  Do you know what that impacts?  Social medicine is not just doctor visits and surgeries.  It will give government access to nearly 1/3 of our Gross National Product.

Physicians offices, hospitals, emergency care, emts, insurance compaines, pharmaceuticals, medical supply companies,  home care and nursing homes are only the tip of the iceberg.

What's hidden that will be open to abuse is who gets treated and when.  The government will own the right to treat whom they want when they want with NO ONE to oversee them.  In Hillary's plan a decade ago, it had verbiage that stated anyone that ate read meat or smoked could be turned down for healthcare.  It also had verbiage that government assistance could be denied if the illness had less that a 50% chance of recovery.

The hospitals and treatment centers (no more doctors offices) will move at a government pace.  Paper work will consume the ill and jack knife the system.  But not to worry.  Everyone will be miserable together.  ;)

(sorry about the diatribe on healthcare)

Other than that, this administration is pushing for Americans to lower their standard of living.  To suck it up in time of recession.  What they want is more of your money.  We live, by far, better than any industrial country in the world.  But we can't do so and give the government the money they want.  This administration wants all your money.  Hillary, Joe and Barack are the most liberal folks in our government today and they know for a fact that they can spend your money better than you.

Lastly, to answer your question about what else?  This year's budget enhances every social program that has been developed to date.  He's bailed out the banks.  He's bailed out the auto industry.  He's bailed out social security.  And get this:  he wants to enhance the housing program that is responsible for the FMFM fiasco. Yep, not do away with it, enhance it.

All I can say is wow.

No doubt Matrix.  I doubt we are ready to lie down as quickly as he surmises but it's uncanny how he can nail the trend.

Funny, I thought the presence of oversight, auditors and government is what got us in a mess, especially when it came to the housing fiasco.  As for GM, pure capitalism would allow them to fail.  That would be the check and balance.

No doubt greed is root of many misfortunes but it occurs in any social/goverment system, don't ya think?

  • I agree the auto industry should stand on its own but the financial segment's need for assistance is to complex for me to form an opinion. As far as "oversight", I agree that it  was there theoretically but in reality everyone turned a blind eye to things for short-term profits/bonuses. My neighbor is politically connected in DC and he warned me in 05 the housing problem was coming. He is a retired Colonel and turned a 4 person defense consulting firm into a several hundred employee entity, so I should have listned but....
