That's funny. One summer during college, I worked for a car dealership in the Charleston area and the owner came in ranting and raving one morning and made everybody stop what they were doing and come out and help load 2 full car hauling trailers. I asked him where we were sending all of these new cars and he told me it was none of my business. His service manager then quietly and secretly informed me that he sent two full trailers of brand new cars to Morgantown every year for the football players. Next to my boss, that dealership owner is the biggest a$$hole I've ever met in my life.

The license plate on the car Bryant was driving should be listed on any court documents (criminal complaints, citations, etc.).  These documents are public record.  If the car he was driving is registered in the state of WV (unlikely since he's from NY), one could simply go to the WV DMV and pay a small fee for a registration check on said WV license plate and get the registered owner and title number.  With the title number, one could get any lien holder on the car. 

If as I think, that his Charger is registered in the state of NY, any inquiry into the ownership of the car would have to be done up there. 

In other areas of the country, the local media would be all over this and would look into the ownership of a really new car like that.  If he'd been driving a 10+ year old car regardless of the condition, most of us wouldn't car since that's probably what a lot of us were driving while in college.  But a 2008 Charger?  Even if it's the 6 cyl & not he Hemi, that's at LEAST a $20K-$25K car when new.

For the record, while at MU from 84-88, I first drove a 1975 Buick LeSabre with peeling gray paint.  Then in 1987, I got my sister's old Chev Cavalier wagon (either 82 or 83 model).  I thought I was hot stuff driving a car made in the same decade I was living in.

I would be almost willing to bet that his car was either given to him from WVU officials or a booster. We should start questioning this guys and send some emails to the NCAA or newspapers to look into this. No way a %^)#@ from NY who plays at WVU could afford a 2008 Charger. Hell, I still can't afford one and I am a college grad. haha   No way a Soph student basketball player could afford one.

That is why he probably got mad at the girls because he knew that when he wrecked it he might get caught with knowing he didn't buy it.

I agree but when youre coach has a history of drunken behavior and now the players do as well its just fun.

Has nothing to do with color for me, but everything to do with WVUs history of corruption within the school and the fact that it is a star basketball player driving a new car. Odds are it was either from a local or state dealership or some booster. Odds are slim it came from mommy and daddy.

Nope, I sure don't but odds are not good. Not many kids driving around 2008 Chargers since they do cost a little bit of money.

Also, considering WVU let a kid from workstudy drive the office Benz to Htown to spy on us, who says they wouldn't give a player a 2008 Charger?

I feel bad for any Marshall fan that comes here wanting to discuss Marshall sports.  The vocal minority drown out everyone else and there's an obvious WVU obsession coming from that group.

Take a look back through this thread.  A player gets arrested for a traffic incident, gets suspended immediately, and there's a thread here that invokes racial undertones and accusations.  Not to mention this is at least the 2nd thread in the last couple weeks where Marshall University fans (that vocal minority that's obsessed with everything WVU) are wanting to report something WVU did to the NCAA.

What would happen if wpu tossed a couple grand to the parents, who in turned bought the car. Or if said parents were getting the payments made by the university. Sorry, didn't mean to offend all other institution of learning by calling wpu an university. Most places do make you attend classes to get an education.

The African American spin was awesome, what a way to deflect. I don't know too many parents anywere able to buy a $40,000 vehicle for their son, moreless themselves. Just a question of numbers.
