Topic: How many Herd fans are REALLY excited about this season....?

I'm looking forward to football season as I do every year in the fall. One of the advantages of growing up and living in Huntington is being close to Marshall sports where I have no problem of attending home games and following the Herd.

I think we have a better chance to get to a bowl game this year with our schedule. We have depth on defense, and if we can get solid QB play and a consistent kicking game, we can finally get to a bowl. Southern Ill and Bowling Green are must-win games in the OOC.

I believe that Snyder knows that this is the year he has to get it done.

...actually I'm always excited for Marshall Football...but less this year than what has been the case in the past....still I'm hoping we see real improvement in coaching and game day management...I think the team has the talent to win 6 plus games and go to a bowl...

I'm always excited to get to Herd football. Not only do I get to see The Herd play football, but it also means we are closer to Herd basketball, my favorite. Always has been, always will be.

I'm excited even though i am like many who are still speculative on everything. I'll be speculative all the way until the ball is kicked off because at that point...nothing is going to matter. Everything we've said may or may not come true. We dont' know what'll happen and with a clean slate and just seeing the team take the field erases all doubt for a few moments and reminds me of why i love Marshall Football!

I am dismayed and unexcited about this season's Herd football, but I will watch the ever-declining number of games that are televised, and will follow the rest on Internet radio and/or Internet updates.

I am excited about the prospect of Leftwich earning the starting QB nod for Tampa Bay and, of course, I will watch every NFL game possible that involves former Herd players.
