    CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Thundering Herd fans will get to meet Mike Hamrick, Marshall University's newly named athletic director, during the 12th annual Paint the Capital City Green event Aug. 19 in Charleston.

    Festivities begin at 6 p.m. at Charleston's Embassy Suites Hotel with a pep rally and tailgate spread featuring entertainment by the Herd's mascot Marco and the cheerleading squad as well as music from members of Marshall's Marching Thunder Band...

    • Hamrick is engaged with the new gig from what I've heard....he really is enthused to get us going back in the right direction! I'll be excited to hear what he has to say to the faithful.
