No what-if scenario ever works. Because if you do it for the potential wins, you have to do the same for the games we would have lost had it not been for a couple of plays, lucky calls, or a few points.

In some ways this goes back to Branch Rickey's quote: "Luck is the residue of design"...the better the stucture, the better the luck...back before Snyder we always seemed to get the crucial calls, like the pass interference calls vs. Cryami and UT in '02...hasn't happened lately...and to be fair we might have gotten those 15 points had Edmonson not gotten injured...but right now all Snyder can do is stand on his record and see if 7-5 saves his ass...

Last I checked, we still had more PA (points our opponents scored against us) than PF (points that we scored against them) total for the season.  So that means our margin of victory is pretty low.

Every team could make this same claim on some level.
If UTEP had scored 15 more points they could be???
If Memphis had scored 15 more points they could be???
Bottom line is MU is 6-5 with a chance of being 6-7, 7-6, 8-5 if they go to a bowl game.
And someone might say, "if we'd scored x more points we would be 14-0" which is true, but not the reality of the situation.
