  • In a very serious car accident. In serious condition. Details still pretty sketchy! Let's keep him in our prayers.

  • His wife was probably raising hell with him about the allegations that he has a lady on the side, so he got pissed and tore out of the driveway.

Didn't know anything about that. Definitely not good if true. Didn't his wife just recently have a baby?

  • I think there is more to the story like the link exanimate provided. Just now on the news they are sayting TMZ is reporting an argument between him and his wife that resulted in her chasing him with a golf club. Apperently he was on some heavy pain medication as well. He's always seemed like a stand up guy. Hopefully this is all BS.

Trust me, I would not consider Tiger Woods a stand up guy.  I thought that as well until I went to the 2003 Masters and witnessed him up close and personal for the better part of a day.

  • I'd say that they were fighting over his other woman and she started to beat the hell out of him with a golf club. He hopped in his car to get away from her, she smashed the window, he freaked out and wrecked. Crazy Swedish chick (yet I find that scenario so damn hot).

  • I'm so thankful his injuries wasn't life threatening....Tiger is an Icon, but his personally life is no differant from anyone Else's.... I just read about an alleged affair he was having, wonder if that has anything to do with it, who knows?

  • I found this from a poster on HN.  TMZ is reporting...

Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren -- according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident. Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol -- that should happen this afternoon. But we're told Tiger had a conversation Friday -- with a non-law enforcement type -- detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant. We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club. We're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree. We're also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.

  • So should he be cited for driving under the influences - of a woman scorned and pain meds?

  • A retired coworker is the God son of Ted Purdy of the PGA tour. He has many times been in the clubhouse and other places with most of the golfers. He has told me some eye openers but he has always said Tiger and Ernie are really nice and down to earth individuals. Yeah he cusses on the course, so do most players of golf , basketball, football, etc.

  • Tiger is no different than Michael Jordan or many others...a perfectionist beyond driven who spends his life on the road with every temptation at his disposal...even gold ole' Arnold Palmer was reputed to work his shaft pretty hard after the 19th Hole...only the truly delusional wouldn't think that part of that would be womanizing with the freshest, most beautiful 'tang that's out there...just like Bill Clinton...because "he can"...no different than most of us in his shoes...
