Ha , you have just rendered any current post or future post of yours completely meaningless. Are you familiar with the term asinine ?
I had to go look. It said,
"Of or like an a$$."If so, seems the term probably applies better to the people persisting in beating up the long-since departed... kinda like taking pride in how much you can beat up a corpse.
While I was at it, I looked up
"petty." It said, "Marked by meanness or lack of generosity, especially in trifling matters."
To talk with such contempt about public figures with whom you've had little relationship... e.g., politicians, movie and TV celebrities... is one thing. Even that goes over the top with regularity. But here's a thread that takes joy in remembering the people who, though they tried and largely if not monumentally failed, were in your court, in your corner, one of "us" for a period of time, and for some, will continue to be that until the grave. Where's the joy in that? Pardon the negativity on my part, but... why all the negativity long after the goodbye? Is it so much fun to continue to disrespect people? I'm prepared, again, for the treatment, but it should be said that we ought to be better than that.
