  • Happy 4th of July to all my Herd brothers and sisters. Keep it safe and have a great weekend. Zack,,,,I have 3 racks of baby backs and some hickory split and ready for Sunday also. Whipped up 15 Qts of the real famous Daves BBQ sauce last week so I am good to go.

Are you going to do it "true" luau style and bury the pig in a pit of coals?  ;D

J/k, sounds like a great time!!! I miss Hawaii sometimes, only until bow season rolls around.  That's the one thing that I hated about Hawaii, no real hunting and no fresh water fishing...always made me stir crazy.

Sounds like you're all set up MX!!!  Keep it at 225 and lemme know how it turns out bud!

My girlfriends stepdad has a spit. So he wraps it on there and lays it over a hot bed of coals and let's it cook all day. Mmmmm, I'm getting hungry talking about it.

Hope all you Herd fans have some good food this weekend too!

  • I hope all of you have an extremely enjoyable 4th.

We're up in D.C. visiting my brother.  Going to stay at The Mayflower tomorrow night and watch the fireworks at the White House.  Going to the inner harbor in Baltimore today.

You herd brothers & sisters have a great one!

  • If anyone is familiar with Columbus' downtown I work in the Smith Brothers Hardware Building off of I-670 overnight...I had a spectacular view of Red White and Boom last night...fireworks usually don't impress me...but that lived up to the hype...

  • Happy 4th HERDFANS

I've got family up from H-Town, grilling 2 huge slabs of ribs, chicken, collard green and baked beans with hickory and cherry wood for smoke. The best part about grilling is the beer. ;D

Have a safe and fun 4th!
