  • He was expected to compete for a slot as at either cornerback or running back  at Florida. If only there was a way for him to see the field quickly  ;D

  • then it makes no sense that scout just now makes this announcement.  i realize a LOI in of itself doesn't mean eligibility, guys sign all the time then aren't eligible.  this guys LOI wouldn't be binding would it?  since it's after the signing date.

Hasn't Van been in school at MU this summer working towards eligibility?  as I understand it, he makes it he is in, if he doesn't he stays paying his own way as a NQ.

so, scout is just late reporting and nothing has changed?

Scout is late most times with information.

  • I missed this article but it appears he does have a chance to make the grade this year.

  • While in Charlotte, Holiday said all were eligible except for Van who is working towards eligibility this summer and looking good.

  • He needed to pass 2 summer school classes to be eligible.  I would say that he is probably eligible now since the first summer school session is finished.  Kid is definately a talent on the O or D side of the ball.

With Bembry's departure he could make an immediate impact.

Was that before or after Bembry was dismissed? It appears that he is best suited for RB, but necessity may mean he has to play CB this year.

    Wassay?

  • The source was VERY enthused with his ability at RB and said he will be "a great one" before he leaves here.

  • if he is the kind of rb they say he is, he'll stay at rb, imho.  Can CJ Crawford play c?  At 6'2 if he can play would be 1st rd pick.

  • I think it will depend on how Brian Robinson performs as to whether we have to move Van to CB. He will definitely see more PT at CB though...

  • Crawford is an idea!  He is buried at WR.  I can see Dobson versus Crawford in practice...

  • Isn't Crawford said to have lead hands? I think that alone means he needs a shift to CB or safety.

  • I saw Crawford make some good catches in the Spring, so he has decent hands. One was a bullet from AJ for a TD that was particularly impressive. I don't think he has the quickness needed at CB, movements look too stiff, but I could see him at S.
