I'd love to know what the payroll is for the SEC .
I'm sure it's substantial but nowhere near what it is in other conferences. The SEC has teamed with ESPN to make themselves the "place to be"...I'm sure there are many playing in the SEC for a lot less than they could make in the toilet conferences like the Big LEast, Big Slow 10 and the ACC. They've done a great job of making themselves so desirable that they don't have to pay. I mean, the SEC had more players drafted
this year than CUSA has had drafted since we've been in the league combined...the SEC is a meal ticket...if a kid is going to go to one of those other 3, he has to make his money NOW.
I mean think about it. If your kid was a 5* recruit and Nick Saban is sitting in your living room saying he has a great chance to start but we do nothing more than getting him a car to drive from a local dealership --- and the Mullet is sitting in another chair GUARANTEEING a starting spot along with $40,000 cash now, a car and a weekly "allowance" of $1000 a week during football season, where are you and 99% of American parents going to send your kid? The SEC only has to pay players to keep them from OTHER SEC SCHOOLS, because the other conferences aren't really in the competition.
