  • Its not in depth for sure but that's about how I expect things to go as far as our record is concerned. Many uncertainties for us and the league this fall. We can hopefully play better than expected and shock some people. I do think we have a good shot in every game except WVU. Thats about all you can ask for. The D needs to gel quickly and the offense - MUCH more productive. Do that and we can contend.

    Marshall Thundering Herd: 7-5 (5-3)

Simply put, Marshall brings back a very inexperienced defensive unit after graduating its two first-team All-Americans (Vinny Curry and Omar Brown). The Herd will struggle as a whole to stop the run with lack of playmakers within the front seven. Quarterback Rakeem Cato returns to what should be a smooth-running offense, but can only do so much.

What's funny is that the site is called "Fan IQ". Should be called "Bloggers Who Do Little to No Research But Write Articles For Clicks Anyway". Very generic analysis.

  • Same ole, same ole journalism.  Marshall somewhere in the middle.  Blah, blah, blah.  When Marshall wins the east maybe then we will see Marshall getting some better write-ups.  Until then expect the journalists to take the same view as some Herd fans...  acknowledge that Holiday is recruiting more talented players but waiting to see that equate to better play on the field and wins before they get on the band wagon.

  • The loss of Vinnie doesnt necessarily mean "a lack of playmakers in the front seven". Aiken and Taylor on the line and Holmes and Arrington at LB made plays as starters lasy yr. Can we put seven proven guys out there? No.......neither can many other teams.

  • Vinny being gone sucks, he's one of my all time favorite herd players. However, its not as if we can't stop anyone because hes gone now. We're gonna be ok, seems like every article I read gives us no chance because Mr. Curry graduated.
