I considered putting that one as one of the options.

  • I think BUGS had 2 wins that year and we were one of them.  Yes that was very humiliating, considering we were talking about how we were so much better than MAC teams.  Not that game.

  • Miami 2003 MACC must be too long ago. Toledo in 2000 was bad. BUGS Pruetts last year wasn't good either.

  • We just looked stupid against Tech in 2009.  That's when Mark lost me.  He had his defense looking to the sidelines while their offense hiked the ball. Toledo back in 2000 was a bad one. OU was horrible last year.  It is rare when a team that you are more or less equal to beats the everloving crap out of you. The two losses to Troy were bad also. I will probably never get over the Akron game.

  • Troy wasn't a bad loss, just in perception. That Troy team in those years almost beat LSU, and were very good. It was tough to swallow twice though, and it was no fluke.

If I remember correctly, we were getting blown out and Snides decides late in the game that it was the perfect time to burn Dobson and Snipes-Booker's redshirts. After that we hardly seen either of them. Just think, we could have been looking forward to another season after this one of those 2 if the Tan Man hadn't made that stupid choice.

  • Akron and Charlie Frye.  Additionally any game played against North Carolina State in the state of North Carolina using ACC refs.

The BUGS game was only 2 years ago.  They went 2-10 in 2010 and Marshall was one and I think they beat C Mich. by a field goal.

  • Snyder's first game against K-State. I was so miffed and I said that MU should have fired him that day.

I still remember the shock and the feeling in my gut when that happened. I bet I stood in my spot in the stands and just stared at the endzone for 20 minutes after the game ended. In my opinion we still haven't recovered from that game.

Ugh... Thanks, now my day is ruined.

  • Of you list I voted OU. However like others said the BUGS game was an embarrising loss with all the mistakes they made. I was at the 09 VaTech and I expected we would lose but just not as bad as we did. It was a fun day in Blacksburg until Snyder's game plan kicked in.

  • There is a distinction between humiliating and frustrating.  NC state losses, K State at home and some others I would classify as frustrating.  OU last year was humiliating.

  • Now that you mention it, I think Snyder's VT game could be among the worst gameday jobs of any coach.

Harp do you agree with me that if Snyder had started Morris in the first half we would have outscored NH? I still think it was one of the worst coaching decisions not to start Morris, since our D was so horrible that year.

  • I remember sitting in a stupor at Uno's post game, and everyone around us was in the same funk. I didn't even finish my only beer...

yeah, bad day indeed. KState game set the tone for the next 4 years.
In the middle of Huntington, West Virginia, there is a river. Next to this river, there is a steel mill. And next to the steel mill, there's a school. In the middle of this school, there's a fountain. Each year, on the exact same day, the exact same hour, the water to this fountain is turned off. And in this moment, once every year, throughout the town, throughout the school, time stands still.
