like it or not. He was never a head coach or even a co-ordinator for a reason. He was not good enough. Why do you think Florida and WV had him on the staff? To recruit ONLY. They never gave him another better than the recruiting job. He has proved he can do that and that is exactly why they wanted him and nothing more. If you have been around for 30 years, there is a reason you never could even get a co-ordinator's job, much less a HC job. He just doesn't know the x's and o's that well. He didn't hire good co-ordinator's either because he doesn't know!!!! Maybe he can get enough talent in here to just out talent people but he will never win the big games. Because defense especially has got to be disciplined and played with a TEAM concept and scheme. Look at WV? they don't have a great D either but they find a way to win against Baylor and Texas. A good coach will win "most of those tight games and a "bad" coach will find a way to lose most of those games. Luckily we have about 5-6 games against horrible teams every year to get us to 6-7 wins. Luckily we don't play in the Big 12.
