  • Looked to me like both players lowered their heads. Didn't look intentional to me.

That's what I think. Myers led with his shoulder. Runner dropped his head.

  • Terrible call!!!!! Officials need to take into account that the receiver/runner lowered his body and dropped his head

Unfortunately not.....the rule is the rule on protecting player's heads.....wrap up the player with your arms and drive through him and you get the same result and maybe even the same fumble......but don't go head hunting.

Still, if I looked over and the dude I just collided with was laying motionless on the field, I would be respectful, not a punk.

hope you just saw the replay.........you've got to wrap up the ball carrier.....they aren't going to let you deliver a blow to the head any longer in this game.

I know what the rule is, but there is the spirit of the rule and the letter of the rule. Regardless, these are still judgement calls.

I'm with you there. There's too much of that from this team.

    You got that right.

If our coaches are allowing this I've got a problem with more than their defensive coaching skills..

  • Will have to wait until tomorrow to see the play, but I will be shocked if Myers lowered anything.  He is tall and doesn't even bend his knees.

Replay shows it was a correct call.......extended the arms to deliver a blow......just wrap up the ball carrier and it would have been a GREAT tackle.

  • If it were not for a fumble early on, Marshall would be getting shut out right now!

  • dont get me wrong.. i like what cato has done for the most part... but he's chicken%^&*.. everyone knows it... if froh could get accuracy and strength up, then he is our guy... he is faster and he is bigger and he isnt scared...

Cato is talented, but it takes more then physical talent to play QB.  You have to have the mental capacity to do it and he has proven time and time again that he doesn't.  I'd love to see Fro get a shot with this offense.

If the runner had not lowered his head and Myers had hit him like that, the arm extension would not have been a penalty. I realize these are bang bang plays, but I still believe it wasn't the right call.

Are you watching the same game?  Have you watched all season?  He is not a leader.  He is talented, but he is not a leader and he is a poor decision maker.

  • Weather for next Saturday's game: 56 and sunny.

Probably still not good enough to get me to go unless they can turn this horse$hit game around.

  • If we are going to run the ball in the 2nd half bench Cato and start Fro...let's see what he can do. Cato can not run the zone read. He's simply not capable of making the right read and he's afraid of getting hit.

BTW  there will be quite a few players leaving after this year if Doc is retained as HC. The program is in shambles which is evident in their lack of focus and discipline. Hamrick really screwed the pooch by hiring his buddy.
