Boise president Bob Kustra guided the Big East move, but there is widespread speculation that coach Chris Petersen favors the Mountain West.

Most of all -- unless we've all missed on this one -- Boise will be making peanuts. A Big East football league could be worth as little as $40 million per year in what is now projected to be a 15-team league in 2015

 

Now it seems unlikely UNLV and Fresno would bolt. The Mountain West has a contract locked down for three years. With Boise in the fold, that contract would be worth even more. Again, the Big East has nothing at the moment.

Without Boise shoring up the conference, six Conference USA schools that have jumped to the Big East would have no home. C-USA already has fortified itself with 14 members in the future. While the likes of SMU and Houston would have some worth, it's hard to tell if C-USA would take them all back and grow to 20.

Amazing how the value of the BE boils down to two glorified mid majors Cincy and UConn.  To me Navy is more interesting than those two and I expect them to stay independent if Boise returns to MWC.

Did Navy back out of our game/series?  If they did back out on us and back out on the BE,  maybe they will play us after all.  Navy is desirable.

Sturt Tulane, if all falls through, has the distinct honor of being known as the final nail in the Big East. Actually, maybe we should reward them for their services if they'll pull a that's what we intended card.

About the only way a person could think Tulane being invited by the Big Least over us shows more respect for Tulane than Marshall is if that person doesn’t understand the importance of TV markets in conference realignment or if the person is an antiMarshall troll.

The Navy series is still on, but has been backed up a very long time.

If Boise stays it will be a delight to see their president signing checks for his women's softball playing at UCF.

Boise needs to hope this gets done soon.  They are going through a great football run for which they should be admired.  Once that ends, they will realize the emperor has no clothes...the market is completely insignificant.

I only offered the fact that Tulane received an offer and we didn't.

I would agree with Was' reason for the invite, though it also can't be ignored that Tulane is a fairly prestigious institution.
