  • Would screwing underage foreign prostitutes count as developing "foreign relations".

  • since reid's never been proven not to be a pedophile from the charges years ago it's not real likely they'll have a hearding on this pedophile.

  • Pretty much all politicians (on both sides) disgust me anymore. They are either the ones doing something immoral like this or screwing over their people to make themselves richer. Or they are nutless, spineless wimps that are screwing over their people because they are too busy bloviating about what they stand for so they can get into office... only to get into office and stand for nothing at all.

Amen!! There used to be sometime ago, a large middle of the road group who looked out for America as well as their "constiuents" and home state.

That middle of the road group is now VERY small and getting smaller. The far ends of both sides play for the sound bites and vote to pay the Piper who pays them to play.

The political campaigns now resemble BAD reality TV shows. "Who can be the most stupid repeatedly".

I am an optimist. But now I only HOPE it will get better.

  • There is no "middle of the road".   Pretty much the serfs and the ruling elite.

Watch for this low life scumbag pedophile to push some gun control legistlation.   He'll make a nice sacrificial lamb but in the end they'll get their "universal registration/background check".    Once a DC burecrat can decide who can own a gun and who can't it's all over.  Over a generation or so they'll get most guns turned in or made so expensive that many will just turn them in.

Ammo taxing and registration will also be extremely effective.  Most can't reload and they'll ban the sale of reloading equipment in a decade or so.

Once you can't stand your ground you've lost.   All great countries die when the people no longer have a say so in the process.

  • We our definitely in a downward spiral.  My wife and I are almost 30, and we have put off having kids for a few years, & are starting to feel like it is time to settle down and add a couple children to join our beloved dogs:), but I am honest afraid of what the future will hold for the next generation in this country.  I feel like we are at a point right now, more than any time in my life or that I know of in history, since I would say the Great Depression, whereas we have absolutely no idea or method to use in order to predict what this country/world will be like in 25 years, in 50 years, or heck I could say in 10 years, in 15 years, with nearly as much certainty.
One thing I have noticed lately, in local media and in statewide media, is that what is reported by the news outlets is very much filtered to allow us to know, down to the smallest detail, only what the government wants us to know, and it is generally biased in the direction in which some entity wants us to perceive it.  If some type of breaking news situation occurs, and you follow each of the 3-5 news outlets we have in the Huntington area of the state, they very commonly release some very important detail, then an hour or so later will delete that detail from the online story, and go right on as if they never reported that detail.  Whether it was something about an explosion at a plant, or a police situation in which an officer makes a mistake that the department or city/state does not want the public to know about, and if someone asks about that particular detail, the news outlet will either say they never reported that or it was a mistake on their part.

Sorry I'm so long winded, but my point is, if I have very specifically and obviously picked up on it 2 to 3 times in the past year locally, how often and to what extent do the Feds not report details they want left out, or bend/alter the truth about National news to only allow us to know what they feel we should know.  I would almost bet things are reported either with important known details left out, or the truth altered in some fashion more often than we receive news stories that are accurate and honest.  How corrupt are our politicians and how deep/widespread has the corruption already reached, how much influence over important decisions in this country has already been sold by our senators and representatives, shoot I wouldn't be surprised if it goes all the way to the top.  You know all of those campaign donations don't come without the expectations of a big favor in return.  I'll give you more later:)

  • buy,

nice post.  You will make a wonderful parent.  It's the biggest step you'll ever make in your life and one of the most challenging and rewarding.   Definitely the biggest single game changer in your life.

Remember one thing.  Even North Korea, Iran, Egypt and China can't keep their people in line.  While they filter what they hear on the news, learn in school, see at work and the internet,  and read in a paper they can't keep all the information from leaking out.  Once people have tasted some freedom they will fight for more. Your kids generation will have a totally different outlook on our country than we did.  They will be the first to realize that our country is no longer a representative republic but a plutocratic dictatorship.  They will work toward correcting the situation.

This regime has control of the schools, media, medical system (2014) and the checkbook.   They don't have control of the independent thinkers, armed and competent parts of the population and they don't have your soul.  True,  it will come to a head but that's not necessarily a violent or bad thing.   If enough people decide they want to control their own lives instead of some corrupt regime in DC it will change.   Raise your kids to understand that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely".   Teach them self sufficiency and maybe stay out of the big urban areas which will be killing fields if it collapses violently.  Teach them right from wrong and that God does work in wonderful and mysterious ways and that God has nothing to do with what's going on in DC right now.  Evil's pretty much in firm control.

Pray that the military stays with the constitution and not the corrupt federal government.

A feel good video on right over wrong.

A little hollywood but the event did occur.

PS-  understand that things we take for granted now such as the internet, gun ownership, school choice (public vs private) and legal rights will probably be limited or eliminated down the road. Most will be elminated for "our safety".  While the items eliminated are different due to techoligical advances the process of government takeovers of freedoms are always the same.  History repeats itself over and over.  The only reason our country has survived 200+ years is the desire of the citizens and the fact we are armed.  Take those away and we are just another totalitarian regime.

It will make the importance of family and community even more important than they are now.  Your family can be part of that.

Both are bad...controlled by special interests!  Each make decisions based on which lobbyist donates the most (or which "group" the lobbyist represent).  As with all political discussions...just another man's opinion.

    Quote
"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge natural to party dissention, which in different ages & countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders & miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security & repose in the absolute power of an Individual: and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty." — George Washington, September 19, 1796

  • Most worrisome thing in the news right now is Iran and their position on enriching Plutonium.
