  • I have read on a few occasions about the possibility of Pittman not being here next year, but never any details. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this and if so, where he is going?

  • There was a guy on Herdhaven that said this. Someone asked him for details and he said for the guy to email him and he would tell him. I have heard it from a couple other sources also. I just hear that he is not happy with the way things have turned out with this team. And he would rather go overseas and make money than to come back to this trainwreck Herrion has created. That is just what i have heard and can't confirm. I sure hope he comes back. Without him and Scarver the 2 Jucos (which i'm not in favor of unless you are just plugging a hole) this team would be completely off the rails and smoldering.

If true, can't say that I blame him.

  • Next year could be U G L Y!!! We have Mbao, Kambola and Hanner as the ONLY fron tine players with no scholarships available. I don't mind Mbao for 10-15 minutes a game because he brings pretty good D and shot blocking. Kambola is never going to be anything. And Hanner has potential if given more of a chance and he can play better D. But we nee desperatly to land at least ONE good post player. I do like Canty and Taylor (if God forbid they don't leave for some reason). Taylor is something we haven't had here in a LONG time. A gamer....the bigger the game the better he plays, and the the bigger crunch time becomes the more plays he makes. That is from different write-ups about him from his HS days. He is tough in the clutch and can do it all. BUT, will we still have Herrion to screw it all up?

Pittman does bring some talent to the court, but if you watch his chemistry with his teammates he could be partially to blame for the issues that we see. I am very tired of seeing some of our players playing for themselves and yelling at their teammates.

The team is very segmented and it is obvious. We cannot play together on a nightly basis because the players have too many issues with each other and Herrion aggravates the issue by playing favorites and judging players on different scales.

  • I live out of town and usually only make a few games. I do not plan to attend anymore until Herrion is gone. Frankly when in town it is more fun to visit friends. They also have gave up the ship. Sad situation.

  • Why don't you and all your friends visit at the games?  That way when there is an occasional reason to cheer, you can.  You might be surprised how many reasons you'd see.

You are so right. Pittman complains about everything, but then again so does Herrion. I like Pittman and he has a lot of talent, but...................

He is actually a 3 point specialist.  He is not much of a rebounder.  I saw box scores fom his prep school and there were a couple of times he had 8 or 9 three pointers in a game.   He must have averaged 5 or so treys a game in prep school

  • someone said kane graduates this yr???

if that's true, then he could also abandon the sinking ship after the season &, thru the grad transfer rule, play somewhere else next yr WITHOUT having to sit out . . .

  • Well Pittman wasn't here last year. And there was problems all year. Yes they made a little run at the end but underacheived bigtime all year long. I still say it is Kane. He is the ONLY one that wears a t-shirt instead of the warm-ups like EVERYONE else. Because he wants to stand out. He is the one that NEVER makes a mistake in his eyes. But when someone else makes a mistake that causes a TO he starts rolling his eyes and looking at the guy like he is not so smart. But i blame Herrion for it more than Kane. Because he allows some to do these things and others have a very short leash. That is why there are no excitement from the bench during the game. Because they despise Herrion and know he doesn't treat every fairly. Herrion has created a horrible "team" enviroment. This program will only get worse and worse as long as Herrion is the coach. No Question that Kane and Pittman are the 2 best players on the team. But the entire team needs someone to police discipline because this team has none. They only play when they want to. They will probably play hard against Memphis. And then lay down the rest of the season.

  • Well at least we've moved passed facial expressions to how he dresses causing problems.  How foolish.  So Kane being here last year logging more minutes and better stats on our only team to make NIT in quarter of century proves he is problem?  I take it bison missed all the games where was out lol.  This horrible year take Kane out we probably don't win 5

  • Yea he is really leading this team to new hights. You have your opinion and i have mine. I respect your opinion. But i just don't think he is as great as a few of you think. Now on this team we need him because we have NOONE that can play the point....ZERO. But that doesn't make him great. And yes i don't like the facial expressions, and always blaming someone else for his mistakes, like ELEVAN TO's in ONE game. Like i said if you want to believe he is a great player i have no problem with that. I just don't think he is great. He is good, but has a lot of short comings. And like i said if we didn't have Scarver and Pittman we may be lucky to break 30 pts a game this year.

  • Because it proves he is not "team". All he cares about is look at me!!!! And while we are at it...i don't like Herrion allowing these guys standing talking and leaning over, looking like a bunch that doesn't care about the National Anthem. People died protecting us and the least they could do is stand up straight and keep their mouth shut while it is being played. And God forbid they put the hand over their heart. It all comes back to discipline, something this team has ZERO of. JMO!!!

  • I agree with you on the National Anthem GB.  A lot of this behavior is perpetuated in the school environment where they are not even required to stand up during the pledge to the flag.  Hell I don't agree with everything our government does, but I stand up and say the pledge for all of those that fought and died for our rights.  Those folks deserve the respect. Plus I can't help but think about my father that fought in Europe during WWII while I am standing facing the flag.  I do it to honor his sacrifices.

  • Pittman is good. We all know that. But his attitude is terrible. Every time he makes a shot he showboats and talks trash to other players. Every time he makes a 3 he salutes in the closest opposing players direction. I mean, when we were down by 30 at UK, he made a three and shouted something at UK's bench. At the Rice game a couple days ago he was constantly in his opponents ear talking trash.

  • How dare him for being competitive and getting in the opponenta head. What you just described is what Jordan, Miller, and almost all the NBA greats do. Jordan and Miller verbally said it outright in their 30 for 30 espn specials. I like the kid, i like his spirit, and wished we had 10 of him.
