Author Topic: Need a favor from my fellow HerdFans... (Read 2062 times)

I don't ask for much on here but would appreciate a nice thought, prayers and well wishes for my 91 year old papaw who's recovering from a heart attack that occurred this past Wednesday afternoon. This picture was taken just a few weeks ago. He doesn't look a day over 70 and was driving himself back from Kroger's when it happened. He's in ICU but expected to be moved out this weekend. Please keep him in your thoughts.

you got it.......my mom turns ninety in April and my dad 87 in March....visit them every day.....best wishes

Prayers bub... I miss my papaw everyday. I keep a framed picture of him in my closet to remind me every morning to strive during the day to try my best to be half the man he was. He's been gone since 03, but I still wish he was here to give me fishing advice and explain why my half-runners aren't doing well. Papaws are special not only to young boys, but grown men as well. I was only 4 years old when one of my papaws passed and 24 when the other passed. He was sharp as a tack till the day he died. The day before he died, the nurse came in at the Hospice center in Charleston and he introduced me to her, not as his grandson, but as his "best bud". Cherish those moments, buddy.

My prayers are certainly with your papaw. He doesn't look a day over 91. I bet your papaw's Doctor is impressed with how he looks for a 91yr ld man..
