  • he may take his recruits with him=disaster for plans that are already in place

And they would have to sit out a year since they have already signed which is just dumb on their part.

  • I heard tonight that he is good as gone.

If true, I want to personally thank him for his time here and wish him well at WVU.

Same here he's done a hell of a job getting good recruits in here and he's been a good coach for us, if he leaves best wishes to him, if he stays that's awesome.

    Agree 1000%.

And losing Seider will hurt us big-time.

  • This sucks. I thought we had given him the title of "head coach in waiting." Just not sure of what the official title was? Didn't we also just give him a raise? I hope we can keep him here.

  • Coaches leave all the time in college sports. We all know that and this really shouldn't be that big of a surprise to anyone. Doc has made some great hires this offseason and if Seider takes the job up North, then I fully expect Doc to replace him with someone just as capable.

Why is he clueless. He has some good points. The 97-02 teams would beat the crap out of our current teams. I could give this years teams 30 points against our 99 team and they still wouldn't cover.

  • I will actually feel sorry for Seider if he goes up North to coach with that ignorant, drunk jerk.  He has been great here and will certainly be missed if he goes.  He is however replaceable just like everybody else.

  • Meh.  If he leaves he leaves.  Between Doc, and the other coaches he hired who have SoFla connections and the players we already have HERE who can talk us up to their friends back home, we will be fine.  Never sold on his coaching, anyway.

  • Not gonna help WVU even if they had doc and seider both. They are going to continue to get pummeled in the big 12.....and I love it. Lol

  • Who fans dying to hire Herd coaches.  Funny that they want what we have but at the same time they think they are so much better than we are.

IF Seider does leave he will be back soon.  Just as soon as hole-ger-son loses his job and all of his staff are fired.  Based on their performance last season and their outlook for this coming season Seider shouldn't be gone long IF he leaves.

  • Since some of you on here think the guy is GOD.  Maybe we can at least make him out to be the Next POPE.  If the guy was that irreplaceable then how did he end up at Marshall in the first place.   I'm sure glad he helped us get a winning record last year.....

They are better than we are....and the gap is going to get larger....with the money ciming in for them as well as better recruiting...

But regardless of where they are at they will always continueto intentionally under estimate where we are at prigram wise, etc...doesnt matter how high or low the state of our program is....we will always be understated by them on purpose....strange chip theyve always had...

  • We took Seider from WVU when Doc came, so I guess it would only be fitting for him to return some day.  If he returns to the hole, it will be interesting to watch him and Doc go head to head for FL recruits.  I just wonder if FL recruits want to play in the Big 12, since they would never get to go home and play in front of their families.  It will be interesting to see what happens with that program over the next few years.  I know they will earn a ton of money, but at what expense to the W-L column.

Seider was a GA when we hired him. We gave him his first real coaching gig. Maybe that will cause him to stay. Then again, we are a little ahead of ourselves as he hasn't even been offered the job yet.

If he declines, I don't think we'll ever know if he was even offered.

That said, I think we'll see him on our sidelines next year.  But, I suspect 2014 is a different story - just quite a bit further south than morgantown.

I really doubt that. Taylor is getting paid by Auburn for another year and a half. He can just sit out 2013 and has indicated he might. Those names sound like a fan created list (no offense). Seider went to WVU and Taylor is the biggest name available assistant. OK. That doesn't mean Holgerson knows either and the biggest thing with coaching hires is comfort level.  WVU has had other openings and hasn't called Seider. They may this time but it is just as likely someone who has a past relationship with their STAFF (not school) is hired.

  • IF the Who job is really between Trooper Taylor and Seider then Seider will be on the Herd sidelines this season.

This is the one I'm worried about.  Jajuan has a lot of ties to Morgantown and I have no doubt he wouldn't mind being up there.  His wife is from there.  However, he also knows Holgs is a disaster and his time may be short lived, perhaps only one year.  Staying here and waiting for the big one next off season is the wise choice unless Jimbo calls.  He knows Fisher is probably secure for several years.  The point being he has a wife and kids and while the short term money is better it would come with considerable risk that I'm not sure he is willing to take.

I didn't see any idiotic comments, Greg.  Losing our RB coach and recruiting coordinator a few weeks before spring practice starts is not good.  We only have he and Legg back from last year's offensive staff so we need the contunuity.  Also, finding someone with Jajuan's connections in south Florida this close to spring practice starting won't be easy.  Sure, Doc knows a ton of people and we will find someone if Seider leaves but ideally we need him to stay.  No matter how we slice it, him leaving wouldn't be a good thing.  Can we recover and find someone?  Sure.....but I'd rather not.
