  • It's unwatchable.  They call this TV coverage?  Everytime I watch this channel there are glitches, the production is horrible.   It is constantly clicking on and off.

Mine was great too for the three minutes I watched Direct TV. I believe your complaint should be directed @ you're cable provider.

Actually production quality itself is quite good.  Both CBS-SN and NBC-SN do excellent work from a production standpoint.  Unfortunately many systems put them on high channel allocations and compress the bandwidth.......same thing happens to espnu on some systems

That is good information to know.  When I had cable the quality was great there as well.  I never understood why people complained so much but this makes sense.  I guess Inisight didn't compress the bandwidth.  Every game I have watched on either of those channels on Direct TV have been great.

  • I have Suddenlink and there were no problems. The people behind the camera shooting the game I thought were good. Good game to watch on TV.

I always wondered why ESPN-U never looks as good as ESPN & ESPN2. Now I know. Thanks.

  • I had to watch it on Mediacom in SW georgia, SD and bad SD at that.

If I would have been at my house I could have watched it in really good HD with my big dish & my AZBOX.

AFA 'production' goes, CBSSN does look as good as anybody's if its bandwidth isn't being squeezed as Dshoe pointed out.

And this is yet another problem with our so-called coverage...CBSSN sucks hind tit when compared to the ESPNs & even to NBCSN when it comes to cable systems.

  • More people should be talking about and excited about the announcement of FoxSports1.  Especially the "WE HAVE TO BE ON ESPN" crowd.  FoxSports1 is a really big deal for  us.

  • well guys, I'm older than most on here. I can honestly tell you I never notice the quality of the picture. Camera angels and announcers do make a difference to me, but I could care less about HD or non-HD. I have a flat screen TV. For the first year I had it I didn't pay extra for HD. I finally did and quite honestly don't notice the difference. I'm going to discontinue paying the extra money.

As the above poster stated. What we should be talking about is the new Fox Sports 1. That is GREAT for MU and C-USA

I would absolutely agree......spoke with one of the VP's of FOX yesterday........Fox Sports1 and Fox Sports 2 should be BIG for CUSA......they will do a great job and will have excellent distribution (at least Fox 1 will at the beginning)......will be interesting to see what this all means for FX.....and the FSN's.......no one there is quite sure yet.........Charlotte is becoming quite the sports Media hub in the US........ESPNU, Fox Sports1, RayCom and ESPN Regional all housed there, plus a new yet to be announced channel coming soon

  • FoxSports1 will be in about 90 million homes from day 1.  For comparison's sake, ESPN is in about 100 million.  FoxSports2 will only be in 35 million or so homes from day 1.

It's ridiculously apparent, unless you don't know have it enabled?

Exactly what SuperA said..... FoxSports1 will be in 88-90 million from day 1.... larger than NBC-SN or ESPNU......really on par with most national cable Nets........FoxSports2 will look alot more like CBS-SN in its early days, but with FOX behind it I'd expect fairly rapid growth.

Key for them both will be the integration and cross promotion with FOX, FX, FSN, etc........that is where ESPN has done such a great job and CBS such a poor one......... NBC working hard on cross promoting too.

This means that it's important that the FB starts winning big now while playing an entertaining style of O.

dshoe, what is CBS's deal? When they dropped the College in CBS Sports Network and added names like Jim Rome and Doug Gottlieb I thought they were going to make an attempt to get on basic cable and in more households like ESPN, NBCSN, and Fox Sports 1. However it seems they're content to play 4th string showing bull riding and women's lacrosse.

Yep, I have it but I don't see the big deal. I mean I can tell the difference than before I paid to get it enabled, but to me no way worth the money. I watch very little sports  other than MU and I gp to all the Herd games.

To me, sports are the thing that require HD the most because a lot of the shots are from far away. Sports are very "fuzzy" in SD.

Agreed, SD is totally unwatchable for me...but then again I have a 60" LED TV so SD is completely useless.  SD was way more tolerable on my older, smaller TV but I just can't do it now.
