Football coach scoop says Seider is WVU's newest asst cach.

My Quote from the speculation thread:

Seider has been docs right hand man since he was a GA, so I wonder how much of his success has been due to the man pulling the strings in the background, making calls and using the relationships he spent 30 years building. Not saying Seider isn't good or won't be successful, but I do think he could use a little more experience. If he was only the Recruiting Coordinator that would be one thing, but stepping into a school like WVU, who has very high expectations and are now the small fish in a big pond, Holgerson is going to be very hard to work for, and no one is going to care about just losing a Geno Smith and all of their other defections. I really think his air raid offense is going is going to have to rely a good amount on their run game, without having a good passing game to open things up. That puts Seider in the spotlight and in a perfect scenario for him to become the fall guy for mullets short comings at the end of the season, when snake luck tells him he must make some staff changes in order to retain his job. Hope not. May end up back here before we know it.

Agreed, Doc, Hartley, Mirabel and the rest will still keep us highly visible in FL. No need to think the sky is falling. He got some good kids here but you gotta coach them up when they get here or its all for not.

He's been a good coach for us and has helped us get good recruits in here.

Good luck to him. Ill never root for WVU though so let's hope they keep losing.

I like him also as a coach but it has not translated into wins. The bottom line is that we need to win more and that did not happen with him here. I hold Doc responsible but losing an assistant coach from a team that went 5-7 does not worry me too much.

They put out 50 rumors of coaching hires, hit on 1 of them, and claim to be the best insider information about hires around the NCAA. That website is a joke. When I see Derek Redd or a Marshall (or even WVU) guy tweet about it, I'll believe it then.

You have that right.

They often announce six sure hires for each opening. Usually none of them are right.

They call it football scoop because they'll shovel any $hit they can pass onto that site.

Ties to your alma mater are hard to fight against even without the extra money. Besides that whole house of cards up there will fall in a year or to and he'll be back. By all accounts he's done good for us and I figure we'd all welcome him back.

He did, but he was @ WVU through his junior season.

He has earned both an undergraduate and graduate degree from WVU. His wife is also from Morgantown. He has strong ties to the school and the area.

I heard he actually attended classes and didn't just have a rich relative make a donation.

But then again, I guess Doc could have gave up some of his salary to keep him if he was really that important ot his success..

Heater and Legg are at $200K. I would love to keep JaJuan and I'm not certain he is leaving yet but you aren't going to pay JaJuan more than your coordinators. No matter how good JaJuan is, Doc still believes he is the best recruiter period.
