  • I've wondered for years just how in the hell a lightweight like Obama got elected.  I must say, after a couple of days home sick, I've figured it out.  After watching Springer and a few other shows, it's apparent how many morons there really are in this country.

  • It's not only a question or quantity but also quality.  We seem to have both covered.

  • Don't you wonder who the clowns are the voted to hand over the world's best medical system to the government?   Even better, these same people actually believed a government worker would do it for less and more efficiently than the private sector.

Yes, these are the same people that watch this crap all day.

We deserve what we get.   It will be ugly and will likely crash the whole medical system as we know it.

However,   they won't notice.  They'll be watching TV.

“This year will go down in history. For the first time a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient and the world will follow our lead into the future.” —Adolf Hitler, 1935

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States."

  • Risk Management and Workers comp.

WC will be sucked into the whole nightmare since everyone will try to present a group health claim as a Wc claim.  No deductible, no problem finding a doc or hospital.

The problem with that is that employers pay premium based on their experience modification.   It will go up above the statistical norm since claims activity will be higher than expected.   Margins are very tight for most employers so the pain will be felt and it's another unintended consequence of obamacare.

  • I knew there was a reason for you being such a cynical @#&%#.  I'm a workers' compensation defense attorney...so I can say that.  What state are you in and who do you work for?

And don't forget, with the "advent" of MaObama Care, now EVERY w/c claim, or nearly every one, is going to have to deal with MSA type issues...count on that.

  • Indiana,

Did you know there are still carriers out there that haven't implemented procedures for set asides?   Think those carriers will be on top of thing on cost shifiting on obamacare?

I think the WC systems going to get rocked half as bad as the group health system.   It's going to be an ugly situation for every employer.

  • My mid sized insureds are terrified.  The bigs are fine.  More consolidation at the top as a result.
