Herd Fans,

Summer is here and that means Golf Weather.  The Marshall QB Club of Charleston is putting on it's annual Golf Outing and expanding to add a social June 27th and 28th at Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston.

This year the club is adding a twist to the Social with a Hollywood theme.  Marshall's own Red Dawson from the "We Are... Marshall" movie and Rudy Ruettiger from which the movie "Rudy" was based on his amazing story.  There will still be a Marshall feel to the event as we invite you to come join us to enjoy Food, Drinks and socializing with Marshall Alumni, Fans and Coaches from the football team.

The golf tournament will be held the following Friday of which there are many ways to be involved.  There are sponsorship level's starting as low as $250.00 for a hole sponsorship and up to $1,700.00 for our Eagle Sponsorship packages.  If you have a Foursome that wants to play it is $600.00 (only $150.00/golfer) that on top of golf includes 4 Tickets to the Social, multiple giveaways and door prize opportunities.

$25 each, but social tickets are included with every Golf registration as well as the Hole Sponsorships.

Herd Fans,

We are 1 week away from our "Legends of Football" Social with Red Dawson & Rudy Ruettiger from the big screen.  We are looking forward to having a great time and we still have tickets for the social available for you last minute planners.  As far as the Golf Tournament goes we currently have 27 foursomes signed up with max capacity at 30, so we have 3 spots left if anybody was still thinking of coming out to play next Friday.  We have some great prizes, auction item's, and giveaways so don't miss out....

Something we just learned about is that our very own Chris Massey and his wife have become the co-chairs for the WV Chapter of a non-profit called "Basket of Hope"  www.basketofhope.org.  Basket of Hope is an organization that delivers baskets of toys, games, crafts, movies, MP3 players, etc. to Children with Serious Illness.  We just learned that recently Chris and Sarah's storage locker with gifts had been broken into with a number of item's stolen and broken.

As a club we are asking for your support and the attendee's of the Social & Golf Outing bring something to donate (Unwrapped Toys, Games, & Movies particularly) and help replenish what was lost to support this cause.  Along, with this being a wonderful organization that helps children with illness we are also supporting a Son of Marshall.
