  • As requested prior to the game I recorded the intro with my phone, but just got around to uploading it.

I allowed youtube to apply a stabilization fix to attempt to fix the shakiness from the video, but it also made the HerdFans logo zoom in for some reason. Ill just have to live with it because it made the rest of the video better.

Pretty unique idea to have guys on the field watching highlights on the jumbotron for your intro video, oh wait, no Oklahoma did that last year:

Almost everything has been done at one time or another, and it is nowhere near a direct copy like previous videos.

I thought it looked good minus the opening speech from the movie that took all the energy out of the crowd.

I get that most have been done, but let's review our most recent videos:

    2010 Football Intro
    vs 2009 Alabama Intro

    2011 Football Intro
    vs 2010 Oregon State intro

This year's isn't a complete ripoff like year's past, but the premise is the same. Players on the video watching the jumbotron, then the countdown which they've been doing in Morgantown for years.

  • Villanova from last year, guys acting out plays at night.

Granted the lighting and camera work was MUCH better than ours...

I just we would do something more original, I know old highlights everyone does, but it's hard to say that's copying an idea. Do the WAM cemetery speech, and then fade into highlights of Herd greats mixed with the current players...

  • Let me add to that.  This team is so damned exciting, I think we ought to just say "to hell with the video."  Let the team walk out onto the field and play, no music, no video, nothing.  Just the team, which KICKS ASS.

  • Let's go old school and ditch the video and introduce the starters, like they do in basketball.

I am just he opposite, I loved that intro much better than the MM speach, by a long shot. ( FWIW I do not believe this is the clip from the movie, but rather a recording of it, I could be wrong but look how muddy the river is, it is usually not that way)
That being said the staged pics of Cato throwing passing etc are lame, need to use real action shots .

  • When that was being shown, my Mom could have been sitting next tome and keeled over dead of a heart attack and I still couldn't have been any more pumped up.

Am starting to feel a little guilty for being so excited about being at a Marshall football game with perhaps one of the top teams we've ever had with a new IPF being built next door, and a 4 star transfer CB just announced, not to mention that one MU dancer with the long black hair, when the intro video sucked, there isn't a cell tower on the 50 yard line, no stats and seats are being re-assigned.  Hopefully the team will bomb soon so I can be miserable again.

  • I really hope this video gets retooled. It is not exciting watching random movements and crap at night in bad lighting. Not exciting watching a depressing intro that makes everyone want to cry. Need a cemetary pump up speech and a montage of us progressing from the 70's up to now, showing us getting better snd better. That would be cool, and end with from the ashes, we rise! We are.... then the crowd screams Marshall!

People stopped clapping because they poorly edited the song into the video to where the beat changed several times and people could change quick enough to the beat.

I say bring back last years video, it was the best so far.

  • Older video highlights with original commentary gets me the most hyped.. show me the greats.. the recent... and our current..

Test the waters with some different music.. thunderstruck feels like a ball and chain. love it and hate it all the same.

Did anyone else notice how nice the screen was without the blaring ads.. I know, but Im just saying.
