    • Most ECU fans are saying how we were the better team "Yesterday"..... My take on it is, if you win by 31 points, then you aren't just they better team "yesterday" but just flat out the better team all together.

    • Very true that a 31 point thumping shows no comparison to the Herd. Marshall could have given them another 28 points and we still would have won.

    Yeah, they still talk about their QB like we dodged a bullet....I got news, we made plays against him....He had a bad day, blah, blah...

    We had 14 hits on the QB....Not hurries....Hits....

    • We piled on by running the ball on a drive that lasted nearly ten minutes when we really weren't trying to pile on...that ought to say something...

    • More objectively, it's an any-given-Saturday for most conference games between CUSA teams, even the newbies... play 10 contests, and even the worst conference team can likely eek out one win on their home field... but we won when it mattered, just as they won when it mattered last year... we can't take last year away from them, and they certainly can't take yesterday away from us... and too, every school is going to have its share of less-than-classy fans, so I'm always slow to point fingers.

    It is what you read on Herd fan forums the day after a loss. Except we also often say we were the better team in the losses. We really do specialize in these rationalizations. The only thing that matters ever is that, in every single contest, the winner is the winner the loser is the loser and we ended up the winner when winning mattered most.
