The thing that concerns me the most is the lack of stability. As long as you have a head coach with an "interim" tag then stability will cease to exist. IMHO, we need to conduct a national search and have a permanent head coach before fall camp, preferably sooner. The longer we prolong this the more recruiting and ticket sales will suffer. I like Larry Kueck and believe he's a good assistant and good man but IMO we need the best, fresh outside "new blood" we can get. With Farrell being the interim university president and now Kueck being the interim head football coach, I sincerely hope that "Kayo" sticks around for a few more years for stability purposes and to keep this thing together until we can right the ship. If Kayo decides to leave anytime soon--we're up the proverbial creek without a paddle.
Coach Pruett repeatedly told univeristy officals, fans, alumni and boosters about how we needed to step-up and fund the program in order to compete at the highest level. Maybe this is his way of forcing Marshall's hand by sacrificing the remainder of his coaching career knowing that whoever becomes his replacement that Marshall will have to make an overall committment to funding the program. Just a thought!
