Save this link so we can compare 2/3 of the way through the year and again at end of season.

  • If we go 13-0 but don't get the access spot for the group of 5, do you think we could still be ranked high enough to get some kind of at-large bid to a bigger bowl than what C-USA would normally get?

In other words, is it all or nothing with getting that spot?  Is it either or with that spot vs. the normal C-USA champion tie-in (regardless of whether we go undefeated)?

  • For starters, UC plays AT OSU and Miami (Fla.)...I will say that their AAC schedule isn't very imposing, although with the renovation of Nippert Stadium they'll have to play all of their games off-campus at Paul Brown Stadium...interestingly, they open with two byes and don't play until 9/12 (Toledo, no gimme)...I don't believe that I've ever heard of that occurrence...

No BCS game is going to use an at large on us, unless we are top 10 or better in rankings. If we were that high, it would be us instead of cincy. In all reality, if we dont make the access bowl, then yes, we are going to be confined to our conferences tie ins. Heart of Dallas being the best one we have now.

  • I do figure Cincinatti's path to the AAC championship will get a little easier wit Louisville gone.  However, even after losing their star QB, I am sure there was a guy playing behind him last year, soaking in everything he could watching him play, and I look for them to still be a force this year and for years to come.  Success generally breeds success.  As much as I absolutely hate them, and even with their aluminum stadium, I don't look for them to be pushovers.

  • How awesome would it be if Marshall ended up against WVU in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. After all it is CUSA vs Big Ten/Big 12

  • Hmm, I wonder how many of these turn out to be correct?

I'll say he gets 1 match up right out of all these, just because of knowing the bowl contract arrangements in advance...

they would have to win six games for that to happen, just sayin:).
"On rainy days, the early justices would enliven case conferences with wine. On other days, even if the sun was shining, Chief Justice John Marshall would order wine anyway, saying, 'Our jurisdiction is so vast that it must be raining somewhere.' "

Oh. See, that tears me a little bit. I woul want us to get the access bowl, but at the same time, ripping them apart in a bowl game? Wow. They would meltdown in morgantown. That would be worth me rooting for them to win six games and us to get passed over and go to HoD

  • From that analysis, the AAC Bowl deals leave a lot to be desired.
