  • The City of Huntington has released an updated and beautiful   new website. I highly recommend to check out the (resident photo gallery) there's a lot of positive things happening in town.
Mayor Steve Williams is off to a great start.

  •   Looks good. Good to have a mayor like Steve Williams that has a vision and a plan. Just like the impact that Hamrick has had on athletics and facilities at Marshall........I think Williams will reach great heights as well and leave his mark on this city. He understands that Huntington would not exist the way it currently does without Marshall University. He will work with Marshall and Marshall will work with Mayor Williams to really turn this town around.

  • Main thing is that the new site is very logically laid out so that it is very easy to locate whichever link you need to access.
In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.

  • I hope Huntington builds a nice baseball complex on the river.

Doubt that. No demand. Except by a few hard core fans.

  • Don't all indications point to the City building a baseball stadium somewhere?

I would love to see it near Pullman Square more so that Campus, it would add to the attraction and economy of huntington by encouraging people to have a meal or drink either before or after the game.

I don't know cincy. Havent heard anything concrete. But I just don't see where the millions to do that will come from. Definitely won't get paid back in tickets sold. The first few games might have a few thousand go due to it being the new thing but outside of that, probably be a few dozen at the games.

  • I did hear this morning that the city is set to announce a major economic river development project in the next month or so. Let's hope they can seal the deal.

  • Things are definitely looking up in the city. We will be having some river boat cruises stopping by this year. Will also have a river boat cruise that departs from Huntington. The company is going to try it out. If the response is good, then they might make Huntington a permanent place to start and end river cruises.

  • Unless something has changed, the.Mayor is trying to build a baseball stadium and Marshall will be the long term tenant.
