They were inspecting some roles by the parking lot when I sneaked in for a pic. Hate that I missed seeing the green go down.

I think the Kelly unis will look great on that turf. I would love to see them do the endzones with MARSHALL in Kelly outlined in white like this picture of the block M at mid field.

I think they will patch in the "Marshall University". I thought I read that only the text in the end zone would be Kelly green.

Check E-man's recent pic -- if you look closely, the endzone is a lighter shade of green than the field itself, and fits what Morehouse said last week that the endzones would be "closer" to kelly green.

Wow....looks great. They have replaced the field goal posts as well. The old set were white.

Its not very noticeable in the picture, but there end zone is definitely a little different shade of green and the new goal post is straight!!

To be honest, I think a darker turf will make the Kelly Green "M" and "Marshall" logos stand out and look better. The old turf, to me, was to close the color of the logos and it blended in and seemed bland. A darker turf should make the logos stand out a lot better. This new turf is gonna look good folks, its gonna look very good.  ;D

They cut out and install logos and letters post initial installation......or at least that's what they did for Hurricane HS's field.   Unfortunately, the lighter endzones will be much darker once they put down the turf turds(pellets).

I had the exact same thought.  I also thought the stair paint looks awfully faded against that nice new turf.  Would be nice to do something a bit more permanent to both the wall and the stairs.  Brick would be a nice future enhancement on the wall to match the Shewey... although the new endzone wall seems to be a stone retaining version... so, brick might look kinda out of place now.

The turf looks fantastic.  The logo is really going to pop at midfield.
