13 of 23 games decided by 6 points or less, and I swear I am absolutely not one to complain about officials, and often become irritated at those who do seem to always want to blame the officials or this or that every time we lose a close game. In my opinion it makes you sound like a sore loser when you never can admit that your team simply just got outplayed or outcoached by a team equal to or better than us.
However, in this WVU rivalry, I very much believe that the officials not only control the pace and work hard to keep the game under control, they also regularly take care of WVU. Rather it is by not allowing us to get to far ahead so they are able to come back, or pulling calls out of their (@/:; at crucial time when the game is close. Whether it is a phantom foul, or calling 3 seconds in the paint when they have ignored it the entire game. Also, more than in an other game, they consistently call 50 fouls, and nearly every year to will look at the scoreboard and they will have called 10 fouls on us and only 3 on WVU. They do always seem to make them up toward the end of the half, but it seems like everytime WVU misses a shot a whistle will blow, but then when they start making them up for us, they will call a BS reach at half court, which amounts to WVU shooting 50+ foul shots, as compared to us inbounding from half court 25 times a game...
Honestly, I really wish we would quit playing this game!!
