There's a story on Yahoo's "Shutdown Corner" which details the situation (I'm sure that someone can provide a link)...anyhow, it explains that Seattle signed Scott before waiving him so that he'll be able to keep his bonus and receive his first-year salary (listed as $555,000)...classy move by the Seahawks...

I agree with you, I really feel bad for Garrett as well. Imagine the high of being drafted in the NFL, only to find out that you can't play because of a rare undetected illness.

Vinny didnt choose it for that reason (or choose at all) It was a coincidence.  I was pointed out to him later, and then he said he was proud to have it.
