I agree with the premise that beating the best teams from FCS is more impressive than beating UMass, but at the end of the day the people picking the teams are going to be less impressed with any FCS win regardless of the quality of the team. It's hard to know how good any FCS team really is because they only have to play one FBS team a year. It's like Boise, or wvu for that matter, winning BCS games. When you only have to get up for one game and the opponent takes you for granted anything can happen.
