Went by the Joan around 1PM today. The field looks pretty much complete except for laying the rubber pellets down on some areas.
The turf is lighter than last years, with the M and end zones being a lighter shade of green, certainly not kelly green. You can see a difference but its not a stark difference. The black trim and colored CUSA logos look sharp. Still wish the turf was more green and not as dark though. All in all its a very nice look and much needed replacement. jmo.

Yeah, I was hoping for a kelly green M and endzones but it's a definite improvement and looks good.

As some have said, pics don't do it justice. The turf is a darker green but it looks very dark in pics for some reason. That's why I didn't bother to take any.

With everyone wanting kelly green endzones and making that well known I am surprised they went completely away from that and didn't even have the kelly green M like last time. Don't get that at all. With all the fuss about getting us hack to kelly and we don't at least put a kelly green M on the field.

At the end of the day, no matter how much you want it to be true, we dont make decisions regarding the athletic dept.

This is an older picture, from last week. The field looks incredibly dark in this shot; it will be a nice contrast against the kelly uniforms at night :)

Yellow posts suck. I wanted a black field and black uniforms...The administration doesn't listen to the fan base, we were better off with Marcum in charge. I am pulling my donations and will not attend another Marshall game as long as I live!

Not a chance...I'm done with it all! If I am ever at the Joan again, it is to demand a refund on my Vision Campaign donation...Their putting the same color field in there!

Are you serious? I mentioned the yellow goal post for fun. As for the field it looks awesome!

A thought on the yellow goal posts:

Most if not all NFL teams have yellow posts, as do many colleges. I do not believe any rule exists.....but I did a simple search on Google for "Conference USA football stadiums" and from the images I found, every single team in C-USA has yellow posts. Coincidence? Or it could be that yellow is just cheaper, idk

edit: Another thought struck me; it could be that the white posts would blend into the field lines on T.V. Yellow gives T.V. viewers a distinct image of the goal posts vs. white posts on white lines. This is all conjecture, haha
