  • Which decision to fire was worse?

Both coaches won National Championships and about 5 or 6 division titles and both won about 75% of their games (lifetime)...

Both schools have went through a bad hire (at least result wise) and are really worse than they were with Fulmer or Carr....

  • I would say the firing Phil Fulmer was worse of the two. But, the biggest bonehead decision ever was by Marshall to let Bob Pruett actually walk out the door and not work it out. The second worse decision was again by Marshall in the treatment of Rick Huckabay and putting our self on probation. Dumb.

If Mike Hamrick would have been the AD then I guarantee you something would have been worked out.  Mike would have jumped at the chance to come to MU when Marcum was hired.  Oh, what could have been...!

Yep. KO Marcum = worst hire in the history of Marshall athletics, possibly the in the history of the whole school.

Didn't we have him and Dan Angel at the same time? Wow. I am surprised the school made it.

We didn't.  Took a decade to get back to where we left off and we still don't have the fans all back yet.  Add Snyder to the mix and we essentially got the death penalty.

Thanks for that Reminder. :D Forgot about Snyder being in the mix. Man, no wonder I became grumpy and bitter.
