Finally, looks like good weather. , something we havent had this year really yet. Finally a game that is not at noon as well! A ranked Herd back in the Joan again and undefeated.

All this bodes well for us this weekend. I am gonna predict 33k this weekend, picking up 3k due to it not being a noon game.

Everyone needs to get a friend or two and get them to the game. I ended up buying my friend tickets for his family this weekend since no one here could help out. I also have another friend i talked into coming. So bringing the usual crew @+ 8.

We need to be there and get our friends there ... anyhing  less than 33k would shock me.

No way. We will have 33k. I would like to see that pushed to 35k wth some good promos or grass roots stuff.

The fans do not appreciate what they have .We have about 10,000 true fans who are there in good times & bad. Ones who stay until the game is over.The majority sit on their (@/:; & really do not support the team.We need some hell raisers who scream their guts out.If good weather increases the # of people,those who come because of the weather are not real fans..

Thats hardly true. You are asserting that someone who doesnt want to come to the stadium and sit in a monsoon is not a true fan?

Im sorry but im not sure se have the luxury of deciding who is a worthy fan to support this program. We easily have a 25k core fanbase. If good weather brings out 8k more, then bring on the sunshine

The count will be high(er) based on tickets sold. Actual butts in seats will be around this number or less. I think you have a point about the nature of these games. If this team starts fast and gets a lead early Saturday the stadium will be EMPTY after the half.

i look for the same crowd as MTSU. Around 30,000. Then around 23,000 after halftime when the students and some fans all leave to drink more because its a blow out.

I don't blame them..........I absolutely hate watching the Herd score TD after TD. Guess I got used to those 2003-20012 thrillers.

My son and his family of four purchased tickets as they did not have to attend the any school events this week......... hopefully many others can do the same..........Go Herd

Liking the attitude starting to crop up here about us fans growing other fans, instead of leaving it all up to the Athletic Department.  Here are a couple ways I've seen others working on this issue.

1.  Following MU Athletics on Facebook, and then share the posts with your own Facebook friends; put a note about something general about the MU post from your own perspective.
2.  Inviting other family and friends to tailgates, etc., making it a day of activities, not to a game. (I know, we're supposed to love the Herd, but to many that comes second.)
3.  Inviting friends to watch the away games at their home. Although this doesn't put butts in the seats, it does tend to increase game viewership when at home games; helping our viewership ratings.
4.  Letting one's kids bring their friends to the games without their parents. 
5.  Let the wives / women (yes, jump on me here if you will) do the inviting and build excitement about what they enjoy.  Its a big deal, and it works.  Many men and children will show up to something their mother or wife has committed them to.

None of this is stuff we all couldn't do. I suspect we are all doing something.  Add to the list, perhaps we'd be able to make a big deal out of how "Fans Create Fans for MU".

Monsoon and bad FCS team on tv. That one was an easy miss for me and I did not think twice.

I'm there week in week out no matter the time, opponent, weather, how good/bad we are.  It's disappointing to not see that stadium full.

What you said is so true! Losing doing the Snyder years is still hurting us to this day. Not to mention Doc wasn't sitting the world on fire his first 3 years here. Face it Herd fans, we have lost at least 7k fans since Pruett left.

Not sure about 7K. I don't think the Pruett years averaged in the low 30's.

We've always had a mid to high 20's average aside from the years WVU came to town which boosted the average.

I bet there are more casuals going to want to see a ranked herd in good weather than some might think. I would bank on 33k, usually have a god barometer to fan interest, and as you guys know, not what one would call a "sunshine pumper"
