  • I checked Herdzone and some sections still have plenty of tix. Lets hope for a big walk up. If so, we may hit 30K. Hoping for more.

  • Unfortunately, and I sure hope I'm proven wrong, I see this game as the smallest crowd of the season.  Too good a TV broadcast capability to get folks off their butts and into the seats.  Come on folks, prove me entirely wrong.

  • The papers have tried to hype FAU as a team that might jump up and bite us, but they can't - and most people know it. No records are up and no chance we lose - 21,000.

    Lol you are kidding right?

32-33k with bells on. The fans finally get a non noon and perfect weather game with a ranked herd back in huntington. I am bringing 9 extra with my group this week. Id say others are as well.

  • Wow to think we have a ranked team since 2002 and we would only bring 28k?  I am ashamed of our fan base as a whole. It boggles my mind. We have an undefeated team and we are nationally ranked yet we can't pull at least 30k? Pathetic if true folks.

The stadium was so empty for the Ball State game when Pennington played, I could hear his cadence. It wouldn't be anything that hasn't happened before. I'm probably low-balling it, but wouldn't be shocked at low 20K. The students may make the difference.

Why are you crawling out on a limb (being ashamed of the fan base as a whole) based on the very conservative estimates (imo) of two posters?  Have you considered Thorazine or Lithium or any number of psychotropics?   ;)

If you look at the ticket-purchasing tool provided via Herdzone, it is consistent with a current sale total of around 28k.  If the walk-up sales tomorrow are consistent with previous Saturdays this season, 31k is almost certain, 32k is likely, and 33k is within reach (maybe even 34k).

I agree 1000%. But 28k is a silly estimate too. We wont have under 30k. No way. Between 32 and 33 is where we will land imo. Fans will be sparse in endzone corners and corners of both side sectionslile usualy but middle will be full. We will have slightly more than ohio because it was a noon game.

  • Let's just move the school to Charleston. I am sure they would support it better. Our fans suck, Huntington sucks, the area sucks.

  • They want too much for tickets. 35 for sideline and I think 25 for endzone. This area can't afford it.

  • With a little interpretation on my part, so far the estimates are:

    21000
    27000
    28000
    30000
    30000
    31054
    31500
    32500
    33500
    34000

In the past my anecdotal evidence suggests the consensus of this board is usually a little high.

Your predictions suggest 30 to 31. My over under is 31500...which is where I pegged Olen's somewhat hedged comments.

  • If we get 30k plus. It will be a good day. We are creeping up to averaging almost 30K any way. That's darn good. Chill out.

    Pretty fair o/u.

I est. tickets sold at 28.6k.  With a typical walk-up, we should hit your o/u.  I am guessing an above ave. walk-up of 4k and a total around 32.7k.  Fingered crossed.  :)

  • At our production meeting they said the ticket office told them we already had 30k sold but take that for whatever you want.

    .

Sad but probably true. Southern WV is just terribly poor.  Wish it wasn't; I'd come home.
