    HUNTINGTON, W.Va.—
    Doc Holliday didn’t need a “rah rah” speech at halftime and no major adjustments were necessary. Marshall simply needed to execute better in the second half if it was going to comeback against FAU.

    And it did.

    Marshall trailed FAU 16-14 at the break, but outscored the Owls 21-0 in the second half to run its record to 8-0.

    “All that was said was ‘Hey guys, let’s go do what we do. Let’s go play the way we are capable of playing. Defensively, let’s start tackling a little better and get them off the field on third down,’ which we didn’t do a very good job of in the first half.”
