Is this the year the "M" is updated on our helmets?

  • Good point.  I'm going to say yes but the green still stays at Kelly.  I can take a coaching change but I draw the line at the shade of green.
    Gatorade sucks.  Water is better.

  • I like the "M" the way it is whats the use for an update or change. Leave it that way and let it become our symbol of recognition when we walk on the football field.

  • Keep the the current green! I have no problem with either M. My only concern is if we use an M on the new turf, will it match the one on the helmet. Maybe I am being a little uptight, but it seem's that it should match.

  • I have given my reasons to keep kelly green before (trademarking, instant recogniton) so I will not get on that diatribe now.
The main reason they used to get us into the darker green was that the kelly green dye was too hard to find.  I was just in the Philipines for the last week and saw literally dozens of fabric stores, they ALL had several different types of fabric in the kelly green spectrum.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, If a MU official tells you that, tell them to talk to me. I can tell them how to get it, and get it made in china/Thailand/ Saipan  for a hell of a lot less than they are paying for it now.--probably

  • We have to keep the current shade of green.  It is MARSHALL UNIVERSITY.  However I wouldn't mind the change of the M.  I could handle that change as long as the color stays the same.

  • Agreed.

Current shade of green stays the same.

"M" gets updated and used exclusive in all university communications (including the football helmets).

Championships continue to land in Huntington.

  • To change the uniform and helmet would be foolish.  The kelly green is one of the best uni's in the country (of course I'm bias), and the block M on the helmet is classic.

How about putting an ND on the Irish helmets, or a lion on the side of Penn St?  I don't think so.
