BOCA RATON, Fla. — In every game of Rakeem Cato’s quarterbacking career at Marshall University there was one constant.

He wore No. 12.

Until Tuesday, that is.

After 52 consecutive games of wearing No. 12, Cato switched to No. 31 for his final game in a Marshall uniform during the Herd’s 52-23 win over Northern Illinois in the Boca Raton Bowl here in FAU Stadium, the home field of Florida Atlantic University.
