Exactly, dshoe. Look at Missouri this week. They came out and stated openly that their QB and another player were out of this week's game with S. Carolina. As for injuries, if a player is out for a game, couple of games, or the season due to injuries, it should be indicated by the University/athletic dept. Don't have to give a detailed medical report or infringe on privacy issues.
I don't have any real position one way or the other on the Chuck vs. Doc/Hamrick "dispute". I'll just say that if Chuck is causing so much consternation in the athletic department due to the tone of his columns; and, if as many of you say he is a lightweight, simpleton, idiot, etc., then I wonder how Doc, Hamrick, etc., would react in a bigger, higher profile program? I'm sure the media in places like Columbus, Tuscaloosa, Ann Arbor/Detroit, Austin, etc., is more demanding, more penetrating in their questioning and inquiries. I'm confident that said media has a lot more competent investigative type sports reporters and columnists than Chuck Landon!!
Final thought. I believe I read somewhere years ago that Chuck went to MU for about 3 years, but he finished up his degree work at WV State. Not really sure if his "degree" is from MU or WVSU. Believe he was referred to here as a MU alum, but not sure that is really accurate.
