C-USA can't say anything official because if there's a 7-1 tie between Marshall/La Tech or WKU/So Miss, the first tiebreaker will be if the playoff committee has anybody ranked that week.
If the committee doesn't rank either team, the tiebreaker is the highest ranked team among the average of the 6 computer polls used in the BCS days (with the highest and lowest for each team thrown out).
As I've posted in other threads this week, it seems almost certain that the Marshall/WKU winner would come out on top in those polls. It's also unlikely the committee ranks La Tech or So Miss so it seems that the game in Bowling Green is for a home championship game.
