LAS VEGAS, NV – James Kelly poured in a career-high 38 points leading Marshall to a 90-82 win over Wyoming at the Global Sports Classic in Las Vegas Monday night.“I thought he had a good combination of both [outside and inside shots],” Herd coach Dan D’Antoni said. “He just has to understand he has to take over ball games. He’s capable of doing that. I think tonight he did it. All in all, a good victory for us in Vegas.”Kelly, who added 13 rebounds for a C-USA best fifth double-double, has scored in double-figures in 11 consecutive games. His 38 points are the most by a Herd player since Deandre Kane scored 40 against Tulsa on March 8, 2012.Kelly scored seven of Marshall’s first 10 points of the game and finished the first half with 16 points and four rebounds. The Herd led 21-11 with 12:38 to play in the first half, but Wyoming used a 12-0 run to take a 23-21 lead. Marshall would eventually take a 44-37 lead into the lockerroom thanks to a 7-0 run to end the half.
