  • Our coaches need to get a dog! They scared. Folks we have major issues on offense, starting with the OC. 2016 won't be the year we want if changes aren't made scheme wise.

AGREED. It was a win and that is all that counts.

  • A Pittsburgh Steelers type of win.  Grind, grind, grind, 4th qtr. opposing D is tired, RB's make big runs in passing situations, D pummels opposing QB, and a win!  And I hate the Steelers, but if you have the will, patience and personnel on D, it works.  Style pts.:  0, W's:1

    Go HERD!!

  • Even Golden State has to win sometimes when they score under 100...sorry that three straight 10-win seasons isn't enough for some of you "geniuses"...

Stop being a not so smart.  We can be happy with a win and still believe there are things we could have done better.  Should they not watch film of this game in spring practice to try to improve on their performance?  I mean we played flawlessly, right?  What's to improve?  A fan will always want to be better.  They will always want one more TD.  They will always want one more interception.  One more win.  Your crusade to convince us that Marshall does enough and we shouldn't wish or push is easily as negative in the big picture as any critique of their performance in the short term.

  • Other than winning and having a third 10+ win season, the thing that made me happiest was seeing DJ don the Kelly green one more time. :)

Yep, hard for some to understand. Either work to get better or get left behind.

Agreed. I am glad he was able to play with all the "rumors" about his playing career being over. He was a contributor today.

  • I gotta disagree with the "fire Legg" sentiment. Today his play-calling was solid with the 3 & 2 Birdsong pass & the 4th & 2 jet sweep being the bad calls. The Herd O labored under bad field position all game, except for after Reaves' 1st Q 26 yd PR. The O each time strung together long drives, converted 3rd downs & did not play conservatively in the shadow of the Herd's goal posts. Litton had a pretty good game; that credit needs to be shared with Legg. Even his pick appeared to be a physical error...either it was under-thrown or it was thrown too late. Our receiver did have the step & a half, but he did not make a great effort to break up the INT.

Going forward: Whose young QB is better AND has more promise, the Herd's or UCONN's? I'll take Litton over Shirreffs even if I were offered an All-CUSA wideout & a bottle of Gentleman Jack to be thrown in on the deal.

Gentleman, what we have is a really solid FB program with our assistants coaching above their pay grade.

  • Horrible 3rd and 4th down plays.........birdsong had RB wide open and shot puts it t yurichek....WTF.

Epitome of why our offense bogs down....failure to manage the chains.  Both QB's should be looking for 1st downs first on 3rd down and not always downfield first.  Take you shots on 1st and 2nd down unless someone is wide open.  At least 4 drives ended today prematurely because of that today. And yes Pittman was wide open for a first down when Birdsong threw in into double coverage and poorly.  Route combos still horrid.  Glad we won. Reminded me a lot of MD bowl game

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS
