  • Honestly for 3 million I might trade Doc. Happens all the time in pro sports with big name players.

  • The tricky issue is the taxability of  buyout money.  The buyout would have to be paid with after tax dollars.  So, if WVU gave coach Holliday the money for the buyout, it would have to give much more than three million so that he could pay the taxes owed on the three million.  So, instead of three million,  it would become more like 4.5 million to 5 million.

  • What's that got to do with my post? Didn't claim the dude was my homie or anything. Just stating what was common knowledge around these parts. I could care less he got fired or quit. Never liked him as a defensive coordinator, so I could've cared less when they hired him. I don't understand the point of your post.

Not trying to make a negative comment re: your post.  Just trying, apparently not too successfully, to point out that maybe going to WVU/Morganhole does not turn out to be such a "paradise", Nirvanna, etc., that some would seem to suggest.  Hopefully, Doc would look long and very, very, hard before making a similar jump.  Agree, with notion that Dunlap was no great shakes as a d-coordinator.

Gotcha. I misunderstood the tone of your post. I read it as you assuming I was a wvu loving Steve Dunlap fan. Lol
