I keep reading that NOBODY can see it. Correct if we are talking FREE. It is streamed on CUSA All-Access. $9.99 per month. It's a bargain, really.

agree. all-access was largely crap when first released, but last year and this year i've been really happy with everything.

You can Chromecast any tab from your laptop. Cast the video tab full screen and you are good to go.

Exactly! Also on top of that who aside from fans of CUSA is going to see it on All Access? If you want to improve the brand and the name recognition of this conference having your top two teams on All Access as opposed to national TV does nothing in that regard.

ASN broadcasts games from about 10 conferences. Tell me if you were the head of programming back in September and looked at all the games being played tonight in those leagues, would you have pick a game that had a pre-season #9 team against a team that was an overwhelming conference favorite?

The article was about having flexibility in the TV schedule like the football 12-day window so that top match-ups can be shown.  It specifically stated that no one can blame CUSA for not seeing our ranking coming but that's all the more reason to have flexibility to showcase the conference nationally.   We play exciting, fun to watch basketball and it's the best kept secret in NCAA Basketball.

I wouldn't.. But, the point of using flexible programing like the league uses for football to allow for the unpredictability of sports (like a pre-season #9 team being #2) is a valid one.

Actually the football games are picked early as well. Only the starting time is flexible.

CUSA could have had "wildcard" games I am sure in Basketball.  Both the MAC and MAAC had Wild Card games at the end of the season so they could pick up a game that matters.  The date of the games were scheduled.  The conference could have set the TV matchups a few weeks back.  I have seen many times on Twitter the past few weeks of "wild card" games being selected for TV.

11 of the 15 wildcard games for the mac are games moved from saturday to friday. looks like all of the maac wild card games look to be games that were moved from from one day to another.

in leagues like that where most of your away games are max 4-5 hours bus trip you can do that easily. when you're booking charter flights months in advance because you're playing at utep or whatever, you can't move game dates like that.

I see what you are saying but dates don't have to be changed.  CUSA games are set for Thursday night and Saturday night.  All that has to be done is a time and network get set.  There would be no need to change dates.  Is there some logistics to work out?  Sure but this is 2016 and networks can make it work if they want to.  If football games can have a time and network scheduled set 12 days in advance then so can basketball.  Football teams charter planes and would have to make arrangements for when they leave if their game is at noon instead of 7:00.

Just like today....CUSA could have three windows set for the TV.  A few weeks ago the games could have been selected.  Will the selection always work?  No but our game with UAB looked good several weeks ago.
